New Years Day Workout

We spent the morning at the Crossfit Box for New Years Day! AWESOME partner WOD! Donald and I weren’t able to be partners, but we each kicked butt on our individual teams. Lots of sled pulls, 400 meter run, clean and jerks, front squats, double-unders and burpees. My partner and I crushed it! Hard workout! Here are a few photos from after the WOD. Enjoy!

  1. What is your 400 meter time? We used to run quarter mile repeats for track practice. We usually stopped at a dozen. Some of the guys puked! We ran them in 60 seconds or less with a minute rest in between. It was ugly!

New Years day for me was spent icing a hyper extended knee that happened while learning how to skate board with my kids. I was doing great in the flats and decided to try a run through the snake pit. I kept on trying steeper and steeper sections until I fell off my board and landing with a fully extended leg rather than in a crouched position.

I screwed up my ACL. My wife is really into natural remedies. I took a lot organic turmeric powder, willow bark, and a home made Tiger Balm ointment. The swelling is nearly gone and I can walk again.

Not sure about skateboarding in the skate park. Twice, I have hyper extended my knees. Time to cut my losses and learn to skate on flat ground.

    1. Hi Mark!
400 meter repeats a dozen times? No thank you!

Sorry to hear about your ACL. Keeping up with the kids can be rough! Hope it heals up soon! The natural remedies your wife made sound like they could be the trick!

Thanks for the post! Keep us updated on that ACL! Don’t forget to stop by the forum and share some more stories!

      CHEERS!
